How much does Drystamp cost?
Three plans, billed per business rather than per receipt. Solo is $15 a month or $150 a year, Business is $39 a month or $390 a year, and Practice is $99 a month or $990 a year. Every plan includes a 14 day free trial and unlimited free seats for your accountant.
Is there a free trial, and do I need a card?
Every plan has a 14 day free trial. A card is required to start it so the subscription can continue without interruption when the trial ends, and you are not charged until that point. You can cancel at any time during the trial and nothing is taken.
What do I save by paying yearly?
A year costs ten months, so two months are free. That is $30 on Solo, $78 on Business and $198 on Practice. The saving is shown in dollars on each plan rather than as a percentage, so you can check it.
What is the Founding 100?
The first 100 customers to take a yearly plan get 40% off, held for 24 months. After that the price steps back toward list on a published schedule rather than jumping in one go. The number of places left is shown live on this page, so you can see it coming rather than discovering the offer closed.
It is yearly only. There is no lifetime tier, deliberately: a lifetime price on a substantiation product is a promise to store your evidence forever for a single payment, and that is not an obligation we are willing to take on quietly.
Does my accountant need to pay for a seat?
No. Accountant seats are free and unlimited on every plan. You invite your CPA or bookkeeper, choose which businesses they can see, and they get a read-only view: they can open records and issue exports but cannot change anything.
What happens if I go over the receipt limit?
Uploading never stops and your receipt image is always stored. Only the automatic extraction pauses until the next billing period or an upgrade. A product whose whole job is keeping your documentary evidence must not refuse a receipt because of a quota.
Can I hold more than one business on one subscription?
Yes, and that is the point of the per-business pricing. Solo covers one business, Business covers three and Practice covers ten, all under a single login with the records kept strictly apart. Most accounting software makes you buy a whole separate subscription per company.
Can I change plan or cancel later?
Yes, both from the Billing screen in the app. Changing plan is prorated by Stripe. Cancelling stops the renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Who handles payment, and do you see my card?
Stripe handles checkout, invoices and cancellation. We never see, receive or store a card number. Your card details go from your browser to Stripe directly.
Is Drystamp tax advice?
No. Drystamp is a record-keeping tool. It explains what the rules require and cites the source, and it keeps the evidence behind your expenses, but it does not prepare or file returns and it is not a substitute for a CPA or an enrolled agent. You remain responsible for your return.
